Vocals are Coming to my New Releases

Vocals are Coming to my New Releases.

Artficial Intelligence is here and man, it is a game changer!

Hi Everyone.

I hope everyone had a happy holiday season and let's make it a great 2024.

I have been experimenting with Artificial Intelligence (AI) - generated vocals.

For quite some time now, I have wanted to add jazz vocal tracks to my upcoming jazz releases.  Problem is, I can't sing. lol!

After careful consideration, I have purchased "Synthesizer V" from Dreamtonics. The is a Japanese-based software company that has developed a voice synthesizer, allowing me to make vocal tracks for my songs.

I am moving into the realm of lyricist, as I will be writing all the wording myself and creating and shaping a jazz vocal track for each song, as well as writing the music as I always do.

I can't wait to get started with Synthesizer V. All indications are that vocals generated with this Ai software are almost indistinguishable from a human singer (with the proper treatment and tweaking in the software by the artist).

Although I am still learning the software, early trials I have been producing sound amazingly authentic to human singing. In this amazing software, a producer can tweak nearly any vocal parameter. Inflection, syllables, pitch, breath, depth and many other settings can be tweaked to perfection.

Thanks Dreamtonics for such a great program.

Fall 2023 Studio Update

Busy Summer in the Studio!

Four New Songs Released for Fall 2023

Phew! I have been busy all Summer working on four new releases of jazz instrumentals and getting them ready for you, my all-important fans and supporters. The new releases run the gamut, as usual, blending many styles and rhythms. I record with GarageBand on a Mac. This program gives me maximum flexibility and ease to create custom beats from scratch. It also has a huge array of supporting sounds to enhance and jazz structure. Suffice it to say that GarageBand does everything I need it to and I am very comfortable with it as a studio tool.

Now, on to the songs
They are:
Temperature's Rising
Lime Deh'ya
Island Hopping
By Force of Habit

Most of my music has Caribbean island vibes and overtones, with marimbas, vibraphones, congas, bongos and various other noise makers. I like you, the listeners, to feel the rhythm and you definitely can with these three fun-in the-sun toe-tappers.

By Force of Habit, in contrast, is a horn-based, upbeat song - cinematic in tone and color. However, it is still very listenable and would be at home in any jazz collection. It's energetic, uptempo and action-packed. Hold on tight for the thrill ride.

I hope you enjoy my new songs. Please leave comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks,
Phil
